Few settings calm and feed the spirit more than a well tended garden. There is a gentleness, freshness and peace that refreshes and lifts us from the noise and demands of urban life. What more fitting place for a two people to gather with their loved ones and inaugurate their life as a married couple?
This past Saturday at 3:30 in the afternoon, I had enjoyed the beauty of South Coast Botanical Gardens in Rancho Palos Verdes. The gardens are open to the public and several couples have selected this venue because of its beauty, understated elegance and the peaceful energy of nature.
The wedding of Alejandra and Kenny was an intimate affair. Their family, relatives and friends sat in the amphitheater under a canopy of trees. One of the flower girls giggled and pointed to a rabbit, who was nibbling on some shrubs. Alejandra and Kenny exchanged personal vows, rings and started their life as a couple with the traditional kiss.
