It was a gorgeous oceanfront wedding for the ages! Joelle and John Paul showed how to pull off a large family wedding with panache and grace. Their choice of the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort was an unexpected surprise – a venue with tantalizing fountains across a wide plaza that faces the Pacific, elevated above the seaside, offering views like no other.
What a terrific place to stand with my back to the waves while John Paul was greeted with wide applause (and boistrous cheering from friends) as soon as he appeared. It may have been a bit of a walk “down the aisle” for Joelle, but she took advantage of the fountain court to it’s fullest effect, her stunning gown flowing gracefully as the string section played a cool arrangement of U2’s “With Or Without You” from The Joshua Tree album. What a novel and inspired choice of song.
The best parts of this wedding came from the audience responses. Their cheers, laughs, and enthusiasm made it a remarkable day. The new camara drones were able to soar high above the entire crowd and grasp the fully gorgeousness of the view, the romance, the sweep of it all. Without any doubt, Joelle and John Paul are destined for an equally romantic life together – and Clifford was deeply proud to have been part of it. Thanks so much to the newly extended Sazon family for all their love and acknowledgment!
