Jeanne Cook and Joseph Sladek, having decided to seal their love in marriage, wondered where the wedding should take place. They wanted a spectacular ocean setting for Jeanne’s Nebraska family to enjoy, as well as a place that would excite their six teenage children (all with names ending with “y” — suggesting they were destined to be step-sibs). Wow — did they find just the right site: Little Corona del Mar beach and coves. They also needed just the right minister to fulfill their vision of the ceremony, and were delighted that Great Officiants of Long Beach suggested Rev Dr Gary Barmore.
Gary met with them in his home and everything clicked. Jeanne’s father took on double duty — escorting his daughter down the sandy aisle and then strapping on his guitar to sing the couple a Nebraska grassland love song. The high tide brought glorious waves over the rocks, but just short of the natural altar for Joe and Jeanne’s perfect wedding.Follow Us On Social Media:
