Wouldn't you know it, the sun creeped out mid afternoon and by 5pm when I arrived at the location there wasn't a cloud in the sky! El Adobe was the perfect spot for their ceremony and reception as they celebrated their Mexican roots with a fabulously themed wedding. Midway through the ceremony I quoted the Song of Solomon, "Lo, the winter is past! The rains are over and gone!" It seemed like the scripture was written just for them!
All was perfect, the sunshine, the dress, Steve's fabulous black and white patent leather shoes, the kids, and the love! They decided to include Steve's boys in the service by incorporating the sand ceremony. I love this element and especially loved it at their wedding. Like life,it was a bit messy, but all four of them poured their sands together creating something beautiful. That's what marriage is all about— being able to laugh through the messy parts and ultimately experience the beauty of what you have created together!
They say that rain on your wedding day is good luck. I don't think Traci and Steve needed it: they are perfectly matched. They both put family first, value and enjoy the other, and cherish their relationship and the love they share. If you ask me, the rain simply showered them with blessings, and then the sun came out and brightly shined upon them!
What a joy to get to know this couple, experience their dedication to family, and one another, and witness their love as they professed it before their friends and family!
