What a cloud-studded ocean view it was! The gazebo by Las Brisas Restaurant in Laguna jutted out over the surf, perfect for Victor Szabo and Beatrice Villareal to begin their married life together. Led by Rev.Dr.Gary Barmore (recommended to them by Great Officiants) and surrounded by family and friends, the bride’s father escorted his daughter into the altar of earth, sky and sea. Musical friends of the couple sang the song from Twilight, “I will Love You for a Thousand Years.” After the ceremony, the couple reminded Rev.Gary to always remember them because when they rehearsed the vows in his Costa Mesa home, Victor’s Eastern European ears miss-heard the phrase “I give you all my tomorrows” and said to his novia Latina — a bit confused but in earnest — “I give you all my tamales.” After a good laugh, their officiant shared some other humorous incidents from sacred ceremonies. A joyous bond was established, and it certainly showed during the very personal and professional wedding.
