Chad Michael Smith and Linea Valette were united in marriage on the Huntington Beach sand on a sparkling day in May. Gloomy clouds had ruled the week, but the sun came through for the Big Day, delighting those who gathered from near and far to cheer the happy couple. Daughter Lexi strewed petals down an aisle formed by two rows of Tiki torches, while a friend brought live guitar and vocals for the bridal stroll. The wind which whisked away the fog blew hair and dresses, but the strong voice of Rev. Dr Gary Barmore, whom Chad and Linea met through Great Officiants of Long Beach, guaranteed that everyone heard the ceremony. Even near-by beach-goers shouted “Amen” after the prayer of blessing.
