Leslie and Abel got married on Valentine's Day at The Grand in Long Beach by Octavio.
Leslie & Abel are one of my sweetest couples! They were so composed and relaxed before and during their wedding ceremony.
About a month before their wedding Leslie's grandmother moved on to a higher level of soul growth and was not able to physically join us for that special day. I dedicated a portion of the ceremony to her grandma Eufemia and I'm not going to lie it was very emotional. After a moment of silence in her honor I proceeded with a wonderful Valentine's Day message for the couple in which I asked all their families and friends to join me on the count of three in shouting out "happy Valentine's Day" to them.
We incorporated the mothers Rose presentation as well as the coin ceremony. Both of their mothers were very touched as they had no idea that their son and daughter were going to present them with roses and dedicate that portion of the ceremony to them. This is actually one of my favorite add ins since I myself am very close to my mother and I sort of live vicariously through my couples who choose to do this tradition.
Abel and Leslie thank you for granting me the honor of officiating your wedding ceremony! I truly am blessed and feel very lucky to have been part of one of the most special days in your lives.
