Daniel & Kelli
Roger officiated at the incredibly unique and wonderful Carondelet House in Los Angeles this last weekend for Daniel and Kelli, a really great couple who wanted both heart & humor in their ceremony and that’s just what they got!! They also followed a great Japanese tradition……with 1,000 origami cranes in attendance!!
Japanese lore holds that the crane is one of three holy creatures that can live for 1,000 years. After folding 1,000 origami paper cranes, one for each year of its life, the majestic “bird of happiness” is able to carry that person’s prayers to heaven. This has been a tradition of many Japanese weddings by wishing good luck to the bride & groom thru these 1,000 cranes; however, not many couples will take the time to fold 1,000 cranes!!! No so with Daniel and Kelli, all 1,000 were folded and present at their wedding assuring the greatest of luck to them as they begin their journey as a married couple…… Roger would like to say he had a hand in the good luck as well!!
