Hello, I am Rev. Tammy Fuqua, and yes, I am a woman and a Catholic priest.
I serve as an Independent Catholic priest ordained through the Ecumenical Catholic Communion. My ministry is rooted in the ancient Catholic tradition, apostolic succession, and the sacramental life that generations of Catholics know and cherish. While I stand outside the governance of the Roman Catholic Church, I faithfully preserve the beauty, prayer, and ritual of Catholic worship, while honoring conscience, compassion, and inclusion. At the heart of my work is a simple and sacred belief, that love is holy and that committed relationships are worthy of blessing before God.
I joyfully officiate Catholic weddings, vow renewals, interfaith ceremonies, and celebrations for couples of all backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ couples. Whether you are seeking a traditional Catholic ceremony, something spiritual and intimate, or a thoughtfully customized celebration, I work closely with each couple to create a ceremony that feels reverent, heartfelt, and deeply personal.
My background in pastoral ministry, human services, and spiritual care allows me to bring both spiritual depth and genuine warmth to every ceremony. Couples often describe my presence as calm, grounding, and reassuring. From our first conversation through your wedding day, I offer thoughtful guidance and compassionate support, helping you feel confident, honored, and fully present in the sacredness of the moment.

Favorite Disney Movie: How do I pick just one? Old school Cinderella because it brings back a very fond childhood memory of seeing it at Disneyland with the other kids in my neighborhood.
Favorite Event Memory: I performed a 50th anniversary vow renewal for the cutest couple. Seeing their love and the love of their family around them, the way they held each other’s hands during the ceremony, it gave me so much hope for every ceremony I officiated after theirs.
Your Nickname: My church community calls me Mo (Mother) Tam, my close friends call me Tam.
