Rabbi Loving

Rabbi for Weddings
vaxed

Rabbi Loving brings warmth, humor, and spirituality to every ceremony and believes that inclusivity is key, honoring couples that are interfaith, LGBTQIA+, and of all gender identities.  She was ordained in 2012 and earned a Master’s in Hebrew Letters from the Reform Jewish seminary Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, and holds a Master’s in Philosophy from Cal State Long Beach and a Bachelor’s in English and Philosophy from Whittier College. She served congregations in the Midwest, northern CA, and Florida before finally returning home to Long Beach.

All of her weddings are personalized according to what a couple needs. Some of her favorite ceremonies were a Mexican-Jewish wedding that included the exchange of los arras wedding coins, Armenian-Jewish and Irish-Jewish ceremonies that integrated their respective cultural words of wisdom, and a Taiwanese Buddhist-Jewish wedding that ended when one partner stepped on a glass and the other broke a red roof tile.  She accommodated a poly couple who requested a ceremony with no mention of monogamy, an agnostic couple who wanted minimal reference to God, and a Hindu-Jewish couple who created a structure that served as both mandap and chuppah. She has welcomed families to ceremonies in Spanish, and chanted Hebrew to the accompaniment of a Tibetan singing bowl to open everyone’s heart chakra!

Rabbi Loving travels all over southern California.Pricing starts at $1250

Notable Wedding Review

“When looking for our officiant, my wife and I interviewed several Rabbis, but after speaking with Rabbi Loving, we knew our search was over. Her positive, funny, knowledgeable, empathetic, supportive personality was perfect for us and our wedding. Our beautiful ceremony wouldn’t have been the same without her and we couldn’t recommend her more highly.”
