Point Vicente Interpretive Center
This beautiful park, located adjacent to the Point Vicente Lighthouse, offers recreational and educational opportunities to the public. The Interpretive Center opened in 1984 with a mission to present and interpret the unique features and history of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The almost 10,000 square foot newly expanded Interpretive Center, re-opened on July 15, 2006, features exhibits on the natural and cultural history of the Peninsula, with a special emphasis on the Pacific gray whale. This premier whale watch site provides spectacular opportunities to view the annual migration of the Pacific gray whale, from December through April.
South Coast Botanic Garden

The Palos Verdes Art Center/Beverly G. Alpay Center for Arts Education offers a spectacular venue for your event or meeting. 10th Tee Box Ceremony Site: The 10th Tee Box Ceremony Site is our most popular ceremony location on the green. Its panoramic views of lush green fairways, accompanied by a relaxing ocean view breeze, can accommodate up to 375 guests!
Vista Ballroom: Our Vista Ballroom features a sprawling built-in dance floor, floor-to-ceiling windows, and breathtaking ocean views. Its modern décor includes neutral shades of ivory, sand, and cocoa.
The Cataline Terrace: Overlooking the golf greens is the most popular of our three wedding sites, The Catalina Terrace. Treat your guests to sweeping views of the rolling fairways and azure Pacific beyond. The Catalina Terrace, which can accommodate well over 300 guests, treats your guests to a captivating scene of the tranquil ocean, soaring seabirds, and two loved ones exchanging vows.

LA VENTA INN

Built in 1923, La Venta Inn was the first structure on the Palos Verdes peninsula. Architects Walter and Pierpont Davis designed the building while the Olmstead brothers, famous for designing Central Park in New York, created the gardens.
La Venta was originally built to serve as a clubhouse for the entertainment of prospective land developers. By the late 1920s, La Venta became a famous black-tie restaurant and was transformed in the 1930s into a weekend retreat for such notable people as Charles Lindberg, Tyrone Power, Cary Grant and Gloria Swanson. During World War II, La Venta’s tower was utilized as a 24-hour lookout point for the U.S. Coast Guard. In 1944, La Venta was purchased by a local family as a private residence, who then opened the property as a celebration site to the public in the mid-1950s.
The New York Food Company took over management of this historic beauty in 1992 to function solely as a special events venue. Since then, La Venta has undergone a major facelift to restore some of the historic and charming touches that had eroded over time.
