Officiant Anthony Performs Western-Persian Ceremony in Dana Point

I had the pleasure of being the Officiant for Samira and Richard, at Cannons Grill in Dana Point! It was a bright, sunny day with a little breeze to help take the edge off the heat-wave we were having in Southern California. This was a great ceremony, a mix of Western and Persian tradition. The traditional mirror, a Sofreh, was set up. We put the Persian half at the end, included the ‘sugar shawl’ with several women coming up to rub the sugar cones together over the couple. Then Samira and Richard did the ‘pinky dip’ in honey to feed each other. The fathers came up and witnessed the license near the end.
