Sofia and Christopher got married at the Knott's Berry Farm hotel in Buena Park. For their ceremony we combined our Buddhist ceremony with a few characteristics of our Catholic ceremony. They wanted something along the spiritual lines to represent them so I changed the words of our Buddhist ceremony to make no reference to that religion and make it more spiritual.
The few Catholic characteristics that we incorporated in the ceremony were 1st Corinthians, John chapter 4: 7-12, and a wedding prayer towards the end of the ceremony before the closing comments. I always tell my couples they don't need to stick to the ceremonies that we have predesigned even though they are all absolutely beautiful! They are more than welcome ask me to combine different portions of different ceremonies in order to customize their own and represent them the best way possible.
I truly enjoyed officiating Christopher and Sofia's ceremony and it was such an honor for me to do so! We were in touch constantly along the way until the morning of their ceremony when Chris and I texted each other back-and-forth. I was so excited for them I couldn't wait to see them!
